We are seeking a dependable and professional Logistics & Inventory Coordinator / CDL Driver to join an industrial team. This full-time position is ideal for someone with experience in CDL driving, inventory control, logistics, warehouse operations, parts management, or material handling who enjoys a diverse workday.
The Logistics & Inventory Coordinator / CDL Driver will manage parts and inventory, communicate with vendors and customers, support shop operations, and make local pickups and deliveries using company-provided vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory of fasteners, welding supplies, hydraulic hoses and fittings, utility items, sanitary supplies, and other materials
- Monitor parts orders and communicate with vendors regarding order status
- Supply job parts and materials to the shop floor as needed
- Pick up and deliver parts to vendors and customers using company vehicles
- Safely operate a pickup truck with a 35-foot trailer
- Drive pickup trucks and non-air-brake flatbed trucks as needed
- Coordinate with Sales and Operations teams
- Serve as a professional liaison between the company, customers, and vendors
- Provide inventory and logistics updates during weekly Operations meetings
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to load and unload trucks
- Complete clerical and administrative duties related to inventory, parts, and job orders
- Maintain communication records using Outlook or other email platforms
- Use Microsoft Excel and Word to review, create, and process inventory and parts orders
- Use JobBoss to enter jobs and pull reports as needed, with training provided
- Perform additional logistics, warehouse, and operations duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid CDL with trailer experience required
- Experience safely operating a pickup truck with a 35-foot trailer
- Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
- Previous inventory, logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, industrial, or material handling experience preferred
- Comfortable working in warehouse, shop floor, and customer environments
- Ability to safely work around heavy equipment and overhead cranes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor when interacting with customers and vendors
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and handle materials as needed
- Dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and able to manage multiple responsibilities
