Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Risk Specialist I to support insurance project initiatives within the Worldwide Logistics Insurance group. The role focuses on data-driven problem resolution, process improvement, and close collaboration with stakeholders to scale insurance programs and vendor performance.

The successful candidate will manage investigations, generate reports from multiple databases, and escalate variances to owners and teams while developing SOPs and driving implementation

Qualifications

• 2+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or related field experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level, including pivot tables, vlookup, index/match, conditional formatting, and data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Provide data analysis and conduct investigations.
• Pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, SQL, and/or other databases) to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
• Identify and help minimize risk posed by program patterns and trends.
• Systematically escalate problems or variances in data to the relevant owners and teams.
• Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs while measuring and identifying activities performed.
• Create narratives outlining weekly findings and variances to goals, and present findings in a review forum.
• Apply risk management best practices to mitigate issues, identify operational inefficiencies, and improve processes.
• Define SOPs, document new methods for program and vendor performance, and partner with stakeholders to drive gaps to closure.
• Partner with cross-functional teams across Amazon for collaboration.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and assignments as necessary.
