Job summary

Wakefern Food Corp. seeks a Project Engineer in Logistics to drive major infrastructure initiatives across distribution centers and 3PL facilities. You will coordinate scope, schedule, and budget while working with Engineering, Finance, Procurement and Operations to deliver projects within capital plans.

Responsibilities include creating plans, tracking progress, and presenting data-driven business cases to leadership. Strong PM, analytical, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree is required; concentration in Business/Engineering/PM is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse systems design.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication; able to lead meetings and drive outcomes.
• Excellent analytical skills to decipher data and inform decisions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with solid problem solving.
• Proficient MS Office tools and project management software exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional project teams for large logistics infrastructure initiatives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, coordinate equipment installation, track budgets and provide weekly updates.
• Analyze schedules, routes and dispatch to improve service levels and costs.
• Evaluate fleet initiatives with ROI analyses and business cases.
• Assess warehouse layouts, slotting and inventory placement to boost throughput.
• Create KPIs, scorecards and reporting tools for leadership review.
