Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC in Ladson, South Carolina seeks a logistics professional to coordinate daily production supply and manage material flow for the production lines. The role operates on a shift basis, including early, late, or night shifts.

You will monitor inventory, communicate changes to partners, and ensure ERP data integrity while supporting continuous improvement in logistics operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in automotive operations or Logistics; preferably material handling, shop floor management, production supply.

Responsibilities

• Communicate production change notices to partners to optimize benefits and minimize cost and confusion.
• Contact Logistics-Hotline for flow issues on the shop floor.
• Control material flow to the production line and analyze inventory to secure supply.
• Coordinate actions with parts from deliveries to ensure timely availability.
• Develop processes and training to ensure inventory and ERP consistency.
• Manage parts controlling, incident reporting, and preventive actions.
• Monitor parts movements daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly; identify trends and budget needs.
• Direct logistics shop floor during launch and ramp up to ensure seamless material flow.
