Job summary

Nordstrom in New Jersey is seeking a logistics processor who is independent, motivated and results-oriented to deliver outstanding customer experiences by efficiently receiving, unloading, unpacking and delivering newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.

You will fulfill customer orders, prepare and ship orders, use inventory systems, and help keep selling floors and stockrooms clean, with a flexible schedule and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ownership and initiative to work independently.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort with using inventory systems and computer applications.
• Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
• Prepare and ship customer’s orders following quality, packing and shipping standards
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments in accordance with our inventory control processes
• Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
• Provide general support to the store, e.g. set up special events, organize backroom, markdowns, and relocate store fixtures
