Job summary

Brose Group in Auburn Hills seeks a logistics professional to create and implement concepts for door modules, seats, and drive systems across JIT/JIS and batch production from acquisition to start of production.

You will generate concept alternatives with cross-functional teams, develop supplier packaging concepts, and support cost budgeting for programs and design changes, with travel limited to nearby locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Logistics Engineering or equivalent experience.
3–5 years experience in a logistics department planning launching programs.
Proficient in SAP Advanced modules MM, WM, QM, PP and MS Office; knowledge of Lean methods.

Responsibilities

Create and implement logistic concepts for door modules, seats, window regulators, drive systems and/or latch assemblies for JIT/JIS and batch production from acquisition through start of production.
Generate concept alternatives with quality, manufacturing, IT, and facilities/headquarters considering customer specifications.
Develop supplier packaging concepts to ensure quality, cost and material flow.
Collaborate with purchasing on supplier decisions using the Landed Cost method.
Facilitate Value Stream Mapping workshops with Lean methods and total cost of ownership.
Collaborate with customers to design, evaluate and implement finished goods packaging and freight concepts.
Calculate and budget costs for launching programs and design changes.
Travel limited to within 1 hour of Auburn Hills; travel dependent on project phase.
