Commercial Metals (CMC) is seeking a Logistics Dispatcher to manage daily dispatch for two fabrication shops and coordinate with drivers, carriers, and customers. You will optimize fleet usage, maintain high service levels, and ensure DOT compliance while supporting driver safety initiatives and maintenance coordination.

The role requires strong organizational skills, MS Office proficiency, and experience with logistics operations, TM software, and Peoplenet/Drivecam.

Qualifications

• DOT regulatory knowledge required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• TM software experience is a plus.
• Peoplenet/Drivecam experience desirable.
• Experience with logistics processes and operations.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily.
• Excellent follow up and accountability.
• Strong organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Daily logistics and dispatch functions for two fabrication shops.
• Dispatch all freight using CMC fleet and 3rd party carriers.
• Communicate with drivers and carriers about loading and delivery expectations.
• Liaise between shop, drivers, carriers, and consignee to resolve issues.
• Optimize fleet usage based on markets and costs.
• Maintain customer service and positive carrier relationships.
• Oversee driver recruitment and onboarding.
• Support DOT compliance and driver safety meetings.
• Coordinate maintenance and asset records for trucks/trailers.
