Job description

Simbe is looking for a highly organized and motivated Logistics & Parts Coordinator to assist with the daily shipping of spare parts for robot maintenance. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all parts and equipment are accurately shipped to the field, coordinating repairs, and keeping track of our inventory. You will work closely with both the field teams and technical support to ensure a smooth flow of parts and necessary equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Ship spare parts daily, manage shipping schedules, and create labels (FedEx or similar)
  • Repair and test returned docking stations, handle minor repairs, or coordinate RMA for supplier repairs/replacements
  • Remove and reuse storage drives and memory modules from computing units, ensuring proper configuration
  • Set up and configure computing units, including software installation for embedded modules
  • Assemble system components (e.g., antennas, connectors) and perform basic hardware setup
  • Manage reverse logistics, triage returned parts, and ensure robot safety stock logistics, including packaging, inbound/outbound shipments, and movement between warehouses and stores
  • Track, manage, and organize parts and system components in inventory
  • Provide troubleshooting, rework support, and ensure parts and systems are deployment-ready
  • Travel as needed to support logistics, inventory, and system setup
Work Schedule
  • Monday – Thursday: Full days (8 hours during standard business hours)
  • Friday & Saturday: Half days (4 hours in the morning)
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Basic technical aptitude to handle computing units, embedded systems, and system components
  • Experience with shipping logistics, reverse logistics, and triaging parts for repair/replacement
  • Familiarity with robot safety stock logistics, including packaging and managing shipments
  • Training with Hazmat (or familiarity with shipping large Lithium-Ion batteries) is preferred
  • Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, and willingness to travel as needed

The base hourly rate offered may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
