Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in logistics packaging, packaging engineering, supply chain, or industrial engineering.
• Experience with palletization, trailer/container loading, packaging optimization, and transportation efficiency.
• Strong analytical skills using Power BI, Excel, and KPI reporting.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel 25–50% to plants, DCs, and supplier locations.

Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking a Logistics Packaging Engineer for a 12-month contract with a world-class manufacturing client in Maplewood, MN. This is a hybrid position requiring 2–3 days per week onsite, with the potential for contract extension.

This is not a traditional Manufacturing Engineer role. The position focuses on logistics packaging, supply chain optimization, transportation efficiency, and packaging engineering to drive operational improvements and cost savings across a global logistics network.

• Analyze logistics performance using Power BI, Excel, and KPI reporting
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, distribution centers, and vendors
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and reduce transportation costs
