Location: West Chicago, IL - Bulk cryo logistics - ANC

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Logistics Optimization Manager is responsible for leveraging the company’s investment in distribution technologies to optimize the business’s Cost to Serve performance. This role requires expertise in logistics optimization technologies such as on-board computing, route optimization, demand management software, and network analysis tools. The manager will develop effective processes in an environment where these tools have not been previously utilized, using best practices and continuous improvement methods to identify and address underperforming areas.

Responsibilities

1. Lead a small team of Logistics Analysts focused on network improvement projects and customer service optimization in a bulk industrial gas delivery setting.
2. Manage forecasting, planning, and scheduling of bulk cryogenic gas deliveries to ensure timeliness and efficiency.
3. Ensure uninterrupted supply to customers while optimizing resource utilization.
4. Coordinate with site managers, drivers, and customers for daily operations.
5. Utilize distribution technology data to enhance safety and distribution efficiency, including staff training on these tools.
6. Train field personnel in the use of demand planning and telemetry tools, ensuring data accuracy and adherence to optimized routes.
7. Develop logistics network design methods and oversee their implementation and benefits tracking.
8. Review current logistics plans and explore alternative processes for improvement.
9. Support locations in resolving customer issues and logistics challenges.
10. Investigate and troubleshoot distribution issues, providing ongoing reporting for continuous improvement.
11. Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and support fleet activities.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience: At least 5 years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain roles. Certifications like CSCP or CLTD are preferred. Experience with Salesforce, SAP, SQL, and telemetry tools is a plus.

Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, data analysis, organization, and a proactive work ethic. Ability to work independently and under pressure.
