Job summary

Beemac Logistics is seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive process improvements across the organization. You will leverage your logistics expertise to streamline workflows, standardize practices, and deliver measurable results.

This role spans Operations Administration, Carrier Management, Claims, Customer Experience, and Managed Solutions, requiring hands-on leadership and the ability to coordinate complex projects with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, or supply chain.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work hands-on with teams rather than manage remotely.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational improvements by analyzing workflows and implementing standardized processes.
• Support multiple departments with cross-functional and project work; coordinate initiatives across teams.
• Evaluate and optimize the full shipment lifecycle from order to billing.
• Develop KPIs, SOPs, and training materials; ensure measurable results.
• Foster strong relationships and coach emerging leaders while aligning with senior leadership.

Job description

The Logistics Operations Manager is a cross functional leadership role focused on improving processes supporting departmental leadership and driving key initiatives across the organization. This person needs a strong logistics and transportation background and the ability to quickly learn how different teams operate. This is not a traditional Operations Manager role. It spans Operations Administration Carrier Management Claims Customer Experience Managed Solutions and other business functions turning operational challenges into practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational ImprovementLearn existing workflows before recommending changes and identify inefficiencies bottlenecks and opportunities for standardizationDevelop and implement solutions that improve productivity service accuracy and scalabilityHelp departments establish KPIs SOPs and training materials and follow improvements through to measurable results
• Cross Functional & Project SupportServe as a flexible resource supporting different departments based on business needsAssist leaders with operational challenges staffing needs and special projects and coordinate initiatives across multiple departmentsTake ownership of projects assigned by senior leadership
• Logistics & TransportationApply transportation experience to evaluate processes understanding the full shipment lifecycle from customer request through billing and settlementAssist operational teams with escalations and complex issues
• Team & Leadership DevelopmentBuild strong working relationships across the organization and work alongside employees to understand how work is actually performedHelp managers set clear expectations and accountability coach emerging leaders and support teams through growth or change
• Communication & TechnologyCommunicate clearly with employees at all levels translating operational issues into actionable recommendations for senior leadershipEvaluate systems and processes for improvement opportunities and partner with IT and vendors on technology adoption

Qualifications

• 5 years of progressive experience in logistics transportation freight brokerage or supply chain
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast paced changing environment
• Willingness to work hands on with teams rather than manage from a distance

Preferred

• Experience in freight brokerage or third party logistics across multiple departments
• Experience developing SOPs KPIs or performance standards
• Familiarity with transportation management systems billing carrier settlements claims or compliance
