Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is offering an Operations Internship Fall 2026 in Washington state. Under close supervision, you will assist customers with transportation and logistics services, gaining exposure to basic transportation management principles.

You will participate in daily tasks such as freight planning, asset utilization, safety management, DOT compliance, driver payroll, and logistics analysis, with flexible hours and a path toward professional growth.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.
• GED and High School required.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure and understanding of basic transportation management principles.
• Participate in daily operational tasks including planning of freight; asset utilization; safety management; DOT compliance; driver payroll; logistics management/analysis; driver supervision; P&L management; maintenance coordination.
• Gain understanding of industry trends and company initiatives related to driver retention.
• Perform pertinent account-specific duties as required by customer.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
