Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking an entry-level intern to assist with customers on providing transportation and logistics services under close supervision.

You will gain exposure to basic transportation management principles and participate in daily operational tasks across planning, safety, compliance, payroll, and logistics analysis. The role is designed for students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, requiring 20–25 hours per week during the school semester.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to basic transportation management principles.
• Participate in daily operational tasks including planning of freight, asset utilization, safety, DOT compliance, driver payroll, and logistics analysis.
• Understand industry trends and company initiatives as they relate to driver retention.
• Perform account-specific duties as required by the customer.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
