Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary functions of this role are to ensure the successful production at our facility by unloading raw materials, supplying materials to the production lines, removing finished goods, and loading trucks for distribution.

SHIPPING & RECEIVING

• Trained to use all dock equipment (truck restraints, chocks, trailer stands, dock levelers, doors, etc.)
• Moves products successfully from lines to freezer in a timely manner.
• Understands and uses proper shipping documentation and loading procedures.
• Loads trucks efficiently to avoid late charges from carriers.
• Inspects incoming materials and trailers for defects.
• Able to receive all materials, including bakery ingredients.

*Able to identify and locate all packaging and raw materials.

*Knowledge of all RM codes and finished good codes.

*Understands and applies FIFO procedures for all raw materials and packaging.

*Keeps sandwich lines, mezzanine, and bakery supplied with quality materials.

GENERAL

• Capable of performing all functions of job overviews for Logistics Receiving and Shipping Operators.
• Uses proper Personal Protective Equipment for the Logistics department.
• Utilizes shipping and receiving software to perform duties.
• Uses racking systems and mobile equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.

LOGISTICS TEAM

• Maintains equipment and zone ownerships as assigned.
• Develops, communicates, and follows Logistics SOPs, OPLs, and safe practices.
• Participates in Logistics team meetings.
• Assists Logistics Leader and Inventory Control Leader with other tasks as needed.
• Supports department goals: Zero Injuries, 100% Paperwork Accuracy, 100% TEI, and 100% Paperwork Completion.
