Job summary

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Material Specialist to load, unload, package and move materials at the Moss Point, MS facility, including docked vessels. The role emphasizes safe handling, accurate labeling, and basic maintenance of warehouse spaces.

Responsibilities include inventory, packaging, forklift operation, and light travel to load materials for marine customers. A six-month warehousing background and a valid driver’s license are preferred requirements.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of material, warehousing or related field experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with the ability to drive company vehicles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all team members.
• Ability to receive and carry out verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area.
• Collects, packages, and labels items to be shipped or inventoried using barcodes or manual methods.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
• Categorizes and classifies items being shipped or received.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials received or prepared for shipment.
• Loads materials into vehicles and secures with strapping, bracing, or padding.
• Packages and/or builds crates to contract specifications for shipping and storage.
• Operates forklift for material handling.
• Performs physical inventories (with or without government representatives).
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining warehouse areas as assigned.
• Responsible for performing minor maintenance to the office area and the grounds.
