Through the integration of additive manufacturing, the company aims to meet the growing and urgent needs for unmanned aerial defense by dramatically improving a jet engine’s speed to market, fuel efficiency, and cost.

Founded in 2020, the company is headquartered in Centennial, Colorado, with additional facilities in Knoxville, Tennessee, Loveland Ohio, and Mount Vernon, Ohio. Beehive is committed to grow and advance the defense industrial base while manufacturing exclusively in the USA. This role will be located at our Cincinnati, Ohio facility.

Role Overview

Beehive Industries is seeking a Logistics & Material Handler to support the safe, accurate, and timely movement of materials throughout our Additively Enabled Castings (AEC) operation. AEC uses advanced additive manufacturing and casting technologies to accelerate the development and production of complex aerospace and defense components.

Reporting to the Sr. Operations Manager, the Logistics & Material Handler will receive incoming materials, maintain organized storage areas, stage materials for production, move work in process between operations, and prepare finished products for shipment. This role will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment and will perform inventory transactions necessary to maintain material location, status, and traceability.

The successful candidate will be safety-focused, dependable, organized, and attentive to detail. This individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where material availability, inventory accuracy, and timely movement directly affect production and customer delivery.

What You’ll Do
Receiving and Storage
  • Safely unload incoming materials, equipment, supplies, and other deliveries using forklifts, pallet jacks, and appropriate material-handling equipment.
  • Verify incoming deliveries against packing lists, purchase orders, labels, and other receiving documentation.
  • Inspect shipments for visible damage, incorrect quantities, labeling issues, or other discrepancies and promptly report concerns.
  • Route incoming material to the appropriate receiving-inspection, storage, or point-of-use location.
  • Label and store material in designated locations while maintaining required identification, segregation, preservation, and traceability.
  • Maintain organized storage, staging, receiving, and dock areas.
  • Follow established controls for shelf-life-sensitive, customer-owned, controlled, or otherwise specially handled materials.
  • Ensure material is protected from damage, contamination, deterioration, or loss during handling and storage.
Production Material Support
  • Pick, stage, and deliver materials, tooling, consumables, and components to production areas according to work orders, schedules, and operational priorities.
  • Move work in process between manufacturing operations while maintaining part identification, quantity, status, and traceability.
  • Support point-of-use material replenishment and communicate shortages or discrepancies that could affect production.
  • Return unused material to the correct storage location and complete the required inventory transactions.
  • Maintain physical separation and clear identification of accepted, pending inspection, nonconforming, quarantined, and scrap material.
  • Prevent unauthorized movement or use of material placed on quality hold.
  • Support material flow improvements that reduce unnecessary movement, handling, waiting, and production disruption.
  • Respond to priority material requests and production constraints with urgency and accuracy.
Inventory Control
  • Complete material receipts, transfers, issues, returns, location changes, and other inventory transactions in the applicable ERP or inventory-management system.
  • Ensure physical material locations and quantities match system records.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventories.
  • Research inventory discrepancies and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate labels, part numbers, lot or batch numbers, quantities, work-order information, and material status.
  • Identify damaged, unidentified, expired, or incorrectly located material and route it through the appropriate review process.
  • Support improvements to inventory accuracy, location control, labeling, and material presentation.
Shipping and Logistics
  • Ensure shipments contain the correct parts, quantities, identification, packaging, and accompanying documentation.
  • Package and protect products in accordance with internal procedures and applicable customer requirements.
  • Coordinate carrier pickups, outbound staging, and loading activities.
  • Assist with shipping records, labels, packing lists, and tracking information.
  • Support expedited shipments and other urgent customer or operational needs.
  • Maintain organized and accurate shipment and receiving records.
Equipment and Workplace Safety
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other authorized material handling equipment safely and in accordance with training, equipment limitations, and company procedures.
  • Complete required equipment inspections and report unsafe conditions, damage, or maintenance needs.
  • Observe load capacity, stability, stacking, pedestrian, aisle, ramp, and loading dock requirements.
  • Use required personal protective equipment and follow all environmental, health, and safety procedures.
  • Immediately report injuries, spills, material damage, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and unobstructed aisles, storage areas, docks, and workspaces.
  • Participate in safety training, 5S activities, and continuous-improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two or more years of experience in material handling, logistics, warehousing, shipping and receiving, inventory control, or manufacturing support.
  • Previous experience as certified forklift operator or other powered industrial truck.
  • Ability to successfully complete Beehive’s equipment and workplace-specific powered industrial truck training and evaluation before independent operation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain company authorization to operate assigned forklifts and other powered material handling equipment.
  • Experience using pallet jacks, carts, scales, scanners, or other common material handling equipment.
  • Ability to read and accurately follow work instructions, part labels, packing lists, purchase orders, and shipping or receiving documentation.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn ERP and inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly involving part numbers, quantities, lot numbers, material status, and storage locations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a manufacturing team.
  • Dependable attendance and the ability to work the assigned schedule, including overtime or alternate shifts when required by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, automotive, casting, machining, or another controlled manufacturing operation.
  • Experience with aerospace material identification, lot traceability, inventory control, and record retention requirements.
  • Experience with cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and root-cause investigation of inventory discrepancies.
  • Experience packaging high-value, precision, or customer controlled components.
  • DOT, hazardous-material, or dangerous goods shipping experience or training.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements

The following activities may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and move throughout manufacturing, warehouse, and loading dock areas.
  • Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds and use team lifting or mechanical assistance for heavier or awkward loads.
  • Enter and exit forklifts and other material handling equipment throughout the workday.
  • Work around moving equipment, pedestrian traffic, elevated noise, dust, temperature variation, and other conditions commonly present in manufacturing environments.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment, which may include safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection, and other task-specific PPE.
