Job summary

RTX is hiring a Logistics & Material Handler at the Foley, AL site. The role involves loading and unloading parts, managing material flow from production to outbound staging, and operating forklifts and cranes to move OEM inventory and containers.

You will ensure shipping paperwork is complete, validate import documents, and prepare materials for quality inspections. Proficiency in SAP and MS Office is preferred; night and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • 2+ years forklift experience or other industrial equipment.
  • Experience with basic MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of inventory processes (parts flow, FIFO, JIT, Kanbans).
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

Work Shift

First Shift (Monday - Friday) with ability to work night, weekends, holidays and rotating shifts as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the loading and unloading of parts and finished goods from various trucks and shipping vehicles.
  • Plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from production to outbound staging area.
  • Operates forklift and crane to load and/or unload OEM inventory, supplies and containers both Daily operator level inspection of equipment Manage/maintain end item shipping container fleet Deliver items to designated areas when applicable.
  • Label and load material according to established procedures.
  • Ensure the completed paperwork relating to the shipment of goods are in place.
  • Validate Custom Import documents for containerized inbound conveyances
  • Organize materials for quality inspections as applicable before shipment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes
  • This work will need to bend, stoop, stand kneel for 8 hours per day and 35 pounds repetitively with or without accommodations and meet other physical requirements.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have 2+ years of forklift experience or other industrial equipment.
  • Experience in using basic power hand tools.
  • Experience with basic office administration skills such as typing, copying, filing, and utilizing Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Working knowledge of inventory processes such as parts flow, FIFO, JIT, Kanbans.
  • Must be able to work night, weekends, holidays and rotating shifts.

  • Work Experience in SAP systems and transaction.
  • Self-directed & action oriented with the minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate time, priority and stress management skills in a fast-paced environment meeting deadlines while maintaining a customer‑orientated demeanor.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes.

Salary

The salary range for this role is 43,400 USD - 82,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
