Job summary

MCC Label, a global leader in premium labels, is seeking a Material Handler in Clarksville, TN to support production operations. You will reads Job Tickets, operate material handling equipment including forklift, and coordinate with teammates to maximize throughput while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math and reading skills, and good computer literacy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift experience required.

  • Computer literacy.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge in Inventory Control and shipping/receiving a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Reads and understands Job Tickets and layouts to produce the correct product of the highest quality.
  • Understands and executes plans schedules to maximize throughput.
  • Works closely with Associates to coordinate the workflow.
  • Performance metrics must be at the average or greater for this position.
  • Completes required documentation promptly.
  • Safely operates material moving equipment.
  • Assists in maintaining equipment for optimal operation, including adjustments and preventive maintenance.
  • Correctly enters information into systems for job tracking and payroll.
  • Disposes of waste materials into proper storage containers and labels containers with required documentation.
  • Complies with GMP, HAACP, and BRC policies as applicable.
  • Interacts professionally and ethically with all associates.
  • Maintains daily housekeeping.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties.

Responsibilities:
  • Reads and understands Job Tickets and layouts to produce the correct product of the highest quality.

  • Complies with established facility safety policies and procedures and other regulations (IE: GMP, HAACP, BRC) as applicable.
  • Interacts and behaves professionally. Treats all associates respectfully and professionally while maintaining the company code of ethics.
  • Responsible for maintaining daily housekeeping efforts.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skill, and ability.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment. Forklift experience, required.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
  • This position requires frequent walking.
  • Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Knowledge in Inventory Control and shipping/receiving activities is a plus.
