Job summary

MCC Label in Clarksville, TN is seeking a skilled Material Handler to support production by safely handling materials and documenting activity. The role requires following Job Tickets to ensure the highest quality products.

The candidate will operate forklift and other material handling equipment, coordinate with teams to maximize throughput, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure accurate data entry for tracking and payroll.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent provides required knowledge and skills.
• Forklift experience is required for material handling tasks.
• Basic math and reading skills are necessary for production paperwork.
• Good interpersonal and communication abilities are important.
• Inventory control and shipping/receiving knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reads and follows Job Tickets to produce the highest quality products.
• Operates material moving equipment safely and efficiently.
• Coordinates workflow with Associates to optimize throughput.
• Maintains equipment and assists with preventive maintenance.
• Enters information into systems for job tracking and payroll.
• Maintains daily housekeeping and adheres to safety policies.

Responsibilities:

• Reads and understands Job Tickets and layoutstoproduce the correct productofthe highest quality.
• Understands and executes planschedulesinan accurateand prompt manner to effectively maximize throughput.
• Works closely with all Associates to coordinate the workflow.
• Performance metrics must be at the average or greater for thisposition.
• Completes required documentation in an accurateand prompt manner.
• Safely operatesmaterial moving equipment.
• Assistsinmaintainingequipment foroptimaloperation, including adjustments.Assistswith preventative maintenance.
• Correctly entersinformation intosystems for job tracking and payroll.
• Disposesof waste materials into proper storage containers. Mark andidentifycontainers with required documentation.
• Complies withestablished facility safety policies and procedures and other regulations (IE: GMP, HAACP, BRC) as applicable.
• Interactsand behaves professionally. Treats all associates respectfully and professionally whilemaintainingthe companycode of ethics.
• Responsible for maintainingdaily housekeeping efforts.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skill, and ability.
• Ability to operatematerial handling equipment.Forkliftexperience,required.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
• This position requires frequent walking.
• Occasionallyemployee isrequired to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements areclose vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperceptionand ability to adjust focus.
• Knowledge inInventory Control and shipping/receiving activities is a plus.
