Siemens in Massachusetts is seeking a Logistics Manufacturing Engineer to optimize material flow, inventory control, and production support, driving continuous improvement in line with our operational excellence goals.

You will lead projects across Receiving, Stockroom, Production, and Shipping, collaborate with Engineering and Quality, and apply Lean and 5S while supporting SAP master data and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Lean manufacturing techniques desirable.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system is preferred.
  • Experience simulating manufacturing systems and processes.
  • Strong data collection and analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with supply-chain management or internal logistics.
  • Prior manufacturing experience and process improvement background.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize material flow between Receiving, Stockroom, Production, and Shipping.
  • Analyze warehouse and production layouts to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Support Kanban, VMI, kitting, and inventory management initiatives.
  • Develop standard work instructions and process documentation.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and support cycle counts and API activities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and failures.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.
  • Support SAP master data validation and manufacturing logistics reporting.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodologies.

We are looking for Logistics Manufacturing Engineer. This position will be based in Hingham, MA.
Position Summary

The Logistics Manufacturing Engineer (LME) is responsible for optimizing material flow, manufacturing logistics, inventory control processes, warehouse layouts, and production support activities. This position drives continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient movement of materials from receipt through production and shipment while supporting operational excellence goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and improve material flow processes between Receiving, Stockroom, Production, and Shipping.
  • Analyze and optimize warehouse and production layouts to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Support Kanban, VMI, kitting, and inventory management initiatives.
  • Develop standard work instructions and process documentation.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Lean manufacturing techniques
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system
  • Experience simulating manufacturing systems and processes
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis
  • Understanding of Supply-Chain Management and/or Internal Logistics
  • Prior manufacturing experience
  • Experience analyzing business processes and implementing or streamlining improvements
