Job summary

SANINC in Chicago, IL seeks a senior manager to lead production planning, logistics and supply chain activities in a manufacturing environment. You will manage schedules, material availability, warehousing, freight, and customer delivery requirements, driving on-time performance and cost efficiency.

You will mentor planners and cross-functional teams, analyze capacity, monitor KPIs, and partner across production, shipping, purchasing, and operations to optimize material flow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in production planning, logistics, supply chain, inventory control, or a related manufacturing function.
• Experience managing production schedules, raw-material availability, finished-goods warehousing, freight, and customer delivery requirements.
• Strong ERP/MRP background.
• Ability to monitor logistics KPIs and use data to improve material flow, delivery performance, and operating costs.
• Comfortable coordinating shipments across multiple plants and responding to emergency material requirements.
• Hands-on manufacturing mindset with experience partnering across production, shipping, purchasing, customer service, and operations.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

• Proven ability to analyze capacity requirements and improve schedule accuracy and on-time delivery
• Experience leading and developing planners, schedulers, logistics managers, and cross-functional teams
• Working knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, freight costs, expedites, and inventory-management systems
• Ability to monitor logistics KPIs and use data to improve material flow, delivery performance, and operating costs
• Comfortable coordinating shipments across multiple plants and responding to emergency material requirements
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
• Hands-on manufacturing mindset with experience partnering across production, shipping, purchasing, customer service, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent education and experience considered
