Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a results-oriented supervisor to lead a multi-discipline team within our logistics and fleet operations in Anchorage. The role emphasizes inventory control, performance coaching, and safety compliance while ensuring timely deliveries and efficient operations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or technical equivalent, 3+ years of related experience, and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of Material Controllers, Fleet Mechanics, Drafters and Administrative Associates.
• Oversee flow and distribution of inventory and supplies.
• Maintain technician work schedules and attendance.
• Provide feedback, training, and coaching to employees.
• Evaluate and appraise employee performance.
• Interview and assess potential hires and transfers.
• Handle employee grievances per union agreement at step one level.
• Identify and remove safety/efficiency roadblocks and conduct field inspections.
• Serve as single point of contact for customer escalations.
• Resolve customer complaints on behalf of the company.
• Act as Fleet Manager overseeing all vehicles and compliance.
• Implement warehouse practices to improve inventory accuracy and accountability.
• Manage budget for procuring network equipment.
• Follow Safety Plan and complete required observations and competencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervision and management of a team of Material Controllers, Fleet Mechanics, Drafters and Administrative Associates
• Overseeing the flow and distribution of inventory and supplies
• Maintaining technician work schedules; attendance management
• Providing feedback, training, and coaching to employees
• Evaluating and appraising employee performance
• Interviewing, and gauging the skill level of, potential hires and transfers
• Handling employee grievances consistent with the collective bargaining agreement at the step one level
• Identifying and removing roadblocks to safety and efficient performance by employees; and conducting in-field safety and quality inspections
• Act as single point of contact for virtually all customer escalations
• Resolve customer complaints on behalf of company
• Serve as the organization’s Fleet Manager overseeing all vehicles ensuring compliance with both internal and external policies
• Implement warehouse practices and procedures that improve inventory accuracy, project material accountability and reduce overhead
• Manage the budget used to procure valuable network equipment
• Follow the Business Units Safety Plan completing all required Safety Observations and Competencies in the required timeframe
