Job summary

Terrestris Global Solutions is looking for a Logistics Management Specialist 1 to support the U.S. Capitol Police under a logistical contract. This full-time position requires strong analytical and leadership skills, as well as a high school diploma.

Qualifications

Job description

Logistics Management Specialist 1 – under the Logistical Support Services contract supporting the U.S. Capitol Police. Full‑time, 40 hrs per week, normal business hours (6:00–18:00).

Location

499 South Capitol St SW, Washington, D.C. 20003.

Responsibilities
  • Forecast demand to optimize inventory and replenishment planning.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Conduct market research supporting procurement decisions.
  • Prepare procurement requests and travel documentation.
  • Maintain equipment receipt, issue, and disposition records.
  • Coordinate transportation of equipment, supplies, and materials.
  • Drive Class C vehicles supporting mission requirements.
  • Lead inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels.

Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check & drug test.
  • Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift over 50lbs.
  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving history.
  • Ability to learn to operate a forklift and electric pallet jack through USCP provided training required; ability to operate a forklift and electric pallet jack (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Experience working in a federal government or law enforcement agency.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations and guidelines related to logistics operations.
