Mesabi Metallics is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead the development of the Company’s logistics function for its greenfield Direct Reduced Iron and Integrated Steel Plant. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Transportation Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10–15 years of progressive logistics leadership experience within steel manufacturing or large industrial operations.
• Experience developing logistics infrastructure for greenfield projects.
• Experience in rail, barge, truck, warehouse, and multimodal logistics systems.
• Strong understanding of logistics facility design, transportation infrastructure, and network optimization.
• Experience supporting EPC lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of logistics function from concept through commercial operations.
• Develop logistics strategy, transportation philosophy, and operating model for inbound and outbound materials and products.
• Provide leadership during project engineering with transportation requirements and plant layouts review.
• Plan and develop logistics infrastructure including rail, truck terminals, warehouses.
• Coordinate permitting activities for logistics infrastructure and regulatory compliance.
• Develop logistics operating procedures, KPIs, and cost strategies.
• Negotiate transportation contracts and manage relationships with providers.
• Drive safety, reliability, and cost optimization across the network.
• Mentor and lead the logistics team and cross-functional partners.
