Job summary

SYNNEX Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Lead for their logistics center in Suwanee, Georgia. In this role, you will lead, train, and mentor new and existing employees while managing logistics functions such as receiving and shipping. You will be responsible for optimizing workflow and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a high-volume warehouse environment and demonstrate strong knowledge of logistics and warehouse management systems.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of high-volume logistics center warehouse experience required for external candidates.
  • Must have experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and integration work order flow.
  • For internal candidates, a minimum of 3 years high-volume logistics experience is essential.

Job description

Overview

Warehouse Lead 4:00 am to 12:30 pm Pay: $22/hr. About the Role: This position will lead, train and mentor new/existing employees through the direction of work and allocation of tasks in multiple functions within the Logistics Center (i.e. receiving, shipping, inventory control and/or slotting of Logistics Work Orders). Acts as a liaison for the Manager to employees while providing administrative and technical support. Utilizes a Warehouse Management system, TD SYNNEX programs and all necessary equipment to troubleshoot issues involving order and product flow and identify potential root causes. Positively supports continuous improvement initiatives (i.e. utilizing Lean Sigma techniques, updating SOP’s, developing & implementing solutions).


What You'll Do


  • Delegate tasks across teams (e.g., receiving, put-away, picking, packing, slotting) within the Logistics Center.

  • Adapt to workflow needs by rotating self and staff across functions.

  • Provide technical support and communicate across all levels.

  • Act as a manager’s extension, offering performance feedback.

  • Serve as a knowledge resource, answering questions and resolving issues.

  • Use Warehouse Management System to manage workflow efficiently.

  • Train and mentor employees as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).

  • Operate material handling equipment.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Sigma, Kaizen, ISO).

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

  • Preform additional duties as assigned.

  • Meet attendance and punctuality standards.


What We\'re Looking For


  • Previous Work Experience: shipping, receiving and/or inventory control, integration work order flow, etc.

  • Internal candidates: Minimum of two (3) years high volume Logistics and/or Logistics Center warehouse experience.

  • Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Logistics functions such as SAP-WMS, SOP’s

  • External candidates: minimum of five (5) years high volume Logistics Center warehouse experience outlined above.

  • Lead experience preferred.


Education/Certifications


  • Preferred: Associate degree

  • Required: High School Diploma/G.E.D.


Working Conditions


  • Distribution center environment may include: exposure to extreme temperatures; high noise levels; high places; wet and/or humid conditions; and outside weather conditions

  • Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires
