Job summary

Ideal Aerosmith is seeking a Logistics & Inventory Control Associate in Grand Forks, ND. This full-time role supports receiving, storing, and distributing materials while ensuring accurate records and adherence to production schedules.

You will perform cycle counts, prepare material kits, and collaborate with production teams to drive continuous improvement and efficiency on site. A high school diploma and forklift experience are preferred, with domestic travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1–2 years inventory/warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Forklift operation experience preferred or willingness to certify.
  • Domestic travel may be required.
  • U.S. citizenship, permanent resident, or other qualifying status for federal contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, and record incoming shipments.
  • Inspect shipments against packing slips and documents for accuracy.
  • Record shipment and receiving data, including discrepancies or damages.
  • Measure, weigh, and count materials as required.
  • Retrieve parts for work orders to support production schedules.
  • Prepare material kits for production departments across locations.
  • Follow inventory control procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Logistics and Inventory Control Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting the efficient movement of parts and materials throughout the organization. This role receives, verifies, stores, and distributes materials to internal departments and external customers while ensuring compliance with inventory control procedures and production schedules.

Job Responsibilities
  • Receive incoming shipments, including unpacking, verifying, and recording parts and materials.
  • Inspect and compare shipment contents against packing slips, receiving reports, and shipping documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Record shipment and receiving data, including discrepancies or damages, for reporting and accounting purposes.

  • Follow established inventory control procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.

Qualification Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of inventory, warehouse, or related experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Forklift operating experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Certified to drive forklift or willingness to get certified.
  • Ability to travel domestically as needed.
  • Due to federal contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. §1324b(a)(3).
Skill Requirements
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Accurate completion of documentation and paperwork.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic accounting knowledge preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Must have the ability to lift and/or carry 45 lbs.
  • Ability to work for extended periods at computer workstation/keyboard.
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
  • The position will require walking, standing, squatting, crouching, stooping, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, sitting, repetitive motion and kneeling.
