Job summary

Simple Modern is seeking a Summer 2027 Logistics Intern to support international and domestic shipments from factories to warehouses. You will work with the Logistics Manager and cross-functional teams to keep shipments moving, ensure accurate information, and build AI-enabled tools to automate processes.

The role requires organization, proactive problem-solving, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate with freight forwarders, factories, and warehouse partners.

Qualifications

• Organized, proactive problem-solver with strong communication and attention to detail.
• Willingness to manage multiple logistics activities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work with internal teams, freight forwarders, factories and warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Learn Flexport, V.Alexander and Simple Modern Container Portal systems to support booking and monitoring of ocean containers.
• Coordinate with warehouse representatives and logistics partners to facilitate timely product pickup and delivery.
• Book domestic shipments with freight forwarders and carriers, coordinate pickup and delivery, and relay updates.
• Develop reports and provide requested logistics information to team members.
• Demonstrate ownership mindset by supporting warehouse operations and other initiatives as needed.
• Participate in service opportunities with giving partners and represent the organization professionally.
