Job summary

Sabert offers an internship opportunity in Sayreville, NJ focused on gaining hands-on experience in supply chain and logistics. You will work with Freight pricing, procurement, and warehouse optimization to identify cost-saving opportunities while supporting data-driven decisions.

You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and Logistics teams, applying analytics, reporting, and presentation skills to real-world challenges in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of supply chain, logistics, and warehouse operations principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with freight pricing analysis and benchmarking activities.
• Support freight procurement and carrier management processes.
• Perform transportation and logistics analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist with warehouse flow improvement initiatives.
• Support forklift repair and maintenance tracking efforts.
• Participate in storage optimization and warehouse utilization projects.
• Assist with capital project evaluations, including cost savings analysis related to racking installations.
• Support Slow Moving and Obsolete Inventory (SLOB) evaluations.
• Assist in assessing warehouse and packaging design concerns related to available storage space and facility constraints.
• Develop reports and recommendations to support logistics decision-making.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and Logistics teams on improvement initiatives.
