AW Technical Center USA in Marion, IL is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support all shipping activities originating from the MLC, working with three Marion NAPs under the direction of the MLC Shipping SM.

The role involves verifying worksheets, correcting anomalies, processing Mass Production shipments, performing USMCA analysis, cycle counts, Kanban audits, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Strong Excel and Oracle MRP skills are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electronic automotive manufacturing and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with Toyota Production System and JIT principles.
  • Strong data analysis and Excel proficiency for tracking shipments and inventory.
  • Experience with Oracle MRP software and EDI/Future 3 shipping systems.
  • Ability to work independently within safety and security standards.

Responsibilities

  • Verify entries on worksheets and promptly correct abnormalities.
  • Support Mass Production, Service and some Trial shipments from the MLC.
  • Perform USMCA analysis and data entry for shipments.
  • Process Mass Production Shipments and routine cycle counts.
  • Auditing Kan Ban systems and adjusting as required.
  • Lead or participate in customer related NCMR requests and countermeasure activities.
  • Calculate and track packaging requirements and plan logistics training.

Job description

This position will support all aspects of customer shipping that originate from the MLC. The MLC Logistics Specialist will support all three Marion NAPs & will take direction from the MLC SM of shipping.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • â Belongs to a salaried, "exempt" category.
  • â Responsible for verifying the entries on the worksheets in his/her area of responsibility.
  • â Responsible for promptly taking corrective actions when an "abnormality" has occurred in his/her area of responsibility.
  • â Process and support all Mass Production, Service & some Trial shipments originating at the MLC
  • â Perform USMCA analysis & data entry
  • â Process Mass Production Shipments
  • â Analyzing processes for continuous improvement
  • â Perform Routine Cycle Counts of Finished Goods & Packaging
  • â Support of Kan Ban systems - auditing, creating, adjusting as required
  • â Participate or Lead customer related NCMR requests - countermeasure activity
  • â Calculate and track packaging to ensure proper purchase quantity (Plastic & Expendable)
  • â Determine and prepare logistics training requirements and plan.
  • â Perform all Team Member duties as required.
  • â Supporting the efforts of other sections within the MLC to achieve goals and targets.
  • â Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • â Will perform other reasonably related tasks within the Company as required by Management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will not have any direct managerial duties, but may lead some members & activities when directed by the MLC Shipping SM.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • â Knowledge of electronic automotive manufacturing.
  • â Knowledge of the Toyota Production System and JIT.
  • â Complete process, logistics and inventory knowledge.
  • â Knowledge of Microsoft Office - emphasis on Excel
  • â Knowledge/Experience in Oracle Suites MRP Software
  • â Knowledge/Experience in EDI/Future 3 (Power 8) shipping systems
  • â General physics ability.
