Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis is seeking a Material Services Associate to manage inventories, enter data for patient billing, and handle shipping, receiving, and mail distribution. You will monitor PAR levels, restock supplies, and process purchase orders while maintaining quality control standards.
The role requires organization, effective communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a hospital setting. Knowledge of infection control practices is valued.
Provides all areas of assigned facility with supplies necessary for optimal patient care. Ensures that all patient care supplies comply with Infection Control guidelines. Tracks and maintains inventory using an automated computer system. Enters data for patient billing. Assumes shipping and receiving, stocking and delivery responsibilities, including distribution and delivery of mail to all areas of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.
No Education Required.
General warehouse, material handling, inventory or shipping and receiving experience of 1–3years. Preferred: knowledge of medical/surgical supplies.
There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this position.
The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. The physical requirements of this position are heavy work – exerting up to 100lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50lbs. of force frequently. The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, or extensive reading. The Associate may also be required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
