Job summary
Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Logistics Engineer for the NGI program to work onsite. You will contribute to development of missile defense technology and support system definition, allocation, maintenance, and test.
The role requires strong technical writing, coordination of CDRLs (CDRLs) and sustainment plans, and LCSP/PHS&T experience. DoD Secret clearance eligibility is preferred for this full-time onsite role in a growth-focused team.
Qualifications
- Experience with writing and editing documentation for DoD programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience in logistics support and LCSP, PHS&T, IPS CDRLs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in writing, coordination and integration of 14 CDRLs and sustainment plans.
- Support development of LCSP, PHS&T, and logistics plans for government delivery.
- Contribute to the internal CDRL review process to ensure on-time delivery.
- Provide technical writing/editing support to documents and plans.

The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking a Logistics Engineer to work from our Huntsville, AL location. You will be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.
As a member of the NGI team, you will perform tasks related to the development of the overall system. You should have a complete understanding of at least one of the key system subject areas with the opportunity to work in all fields to include systems definition, allocation, maintenance, verification/validation, system integration, analysis, and test.
In addition, you will sssists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support. Plans and contributes to proposal efforts. As the Technical Writer & Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) team member you will:
- Assist in the writing, coordination and integration of our 14 Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and sustainment plans.
- Assist the Product Support Team in developing the LCSP, PHS&T, and logistics plans to be delivered to the Government.
- Assist the LM internal CDRL review process resulting in on time CDRL delivery.
- Assist the Product Support Team with technical writing / editing of document and plans.

High School/GED
- Previous experience in Technical writing or Logistics within the U. S. Military, DoD Logistics environment or commercial equivalent supporting government programs.
- Experience with Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) such as LCSP, PHS&T, IPS, and/or other CDRLs associated with Logistics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Technical writing experience.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Experience with development of Contractor Logistics Support and influenced during systems design
- Experience with graphic design
- Experience in development of Electronic Technical Manuals (ETMs)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in developing Logistics LCSP and logistics plans
