J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Engineer to apply engineering and analytical expertise to solve business problems, improve processes, and drive measurable value.

The role requires independence, challenging the status quo, and cross-team collaboration to design and implement effective solutions. The engineer will partner with internal teams and customers, analyze processes, and quantify impact using data, modeling, and OR techniques (e.g., routing, scheduling, optimization).

Qualifications

• BS in industrial engineering or related field, or foreign equivalent, with 1 year experience.
• Experience in data visualization software, statistics, operations research, linear programming, forecasting, predictive modeling, relational databases, and/or SQL

• Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements
• Solve complex problems using data, modeling, and engineering principles

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience, and training with 1 year of experience in Industrial Engineering or related field

Demonstration of the following

• Experience in data visualization software, statistics, operations research, linear programming, forecasting, predictive modeling, relational databases, and/or SQL

Compensation

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
