Job summary

The Dispatcher coordinates transportation activities, assigns orders, and ensures timely deliveries while serving as the main contact for drivers, customers, and internal teams.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities, with travel to other sites for operational support as needed and a focus on flexibility in scheduling.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, dispatching, customer service, or related field preferred.
• Proficient with computers, phones, and company software systems.

Responsibilities

• Take, enter, and manage customer orders.
• Assign orders to quarries and coordinate truck assignments.
• Coordinate deliveries between company trucks, lease haulers, and quarries.
• Dispatch orders and communicate messages, schedule changes, and special instructions.
• Serve as liaison between drivers, customers, quarries, and internal departments.
• Travel to other sites to provide operational support as needed.
• Maintain flexibility in work schedules to ensure department coverage.
• Use dispatching systems, phones, computers, and business software.
