Job summary

Penske Logistics in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Logistics Analyst to distribute data and support continuous improvement efforts across our customer supply chain solutions. The analyst acts as a liaison between Operations and Penske support groups, providing technical assistance, documenting workflows, and delivering metrics to customers.

Responsibilities include responding to inquiries, generating reports, and ensuring changes have minimal impact on operations.

Qualifications

• 1 year comparable work experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Some college preferred
• Fundamental understanding of transportation, supply chain and logistics concepts
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong problem solving and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Candidate must possess strong computer skills to include: Access, Excel, Microsoft Word
• Consistently demonstrates proven ability to learn and use necessary tools
• Ability to follow process and standard procedures
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, submit to a background investigation and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and prioritization related to system solutions.
• Respond to user inquiries, isolate problems, and support implementation.
• Act as Penske point of contact for review of existing system solutions and feedback/coordination of possible solutions.
• Ensure system changes are accurate with limited impact.
• Apply established business rules for daily error management.
• Follow tasks/projects through to completion using project management principles.
• Document process flows to engage end users and translate to systems development/engineering as needed.
• Generate daily reports and pull data from transportation/BI systems for analysis.
• Meet customer deadlines and provide required metrics/reports through data extraction.
• Map and document standard operating procedures and participate in process improvement teams.
• Resolve situations quickly, communicate status, and coordinate with SMEs to resolve issues and support implementations.
• Interact with the customer by phone, email or in person as needed.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
