Job summary

Performance Food Group in Tampa, FL is seeking a logistics administrator to assist the Logistics Manager in daily inbound freight operations, optimizing costs while maintaining service levels and timely deliveries.

You will analyze freight variability, coordinate with carriers, and support period-end revenue reporting, freight bill audits, and vendor charge-backs, contributing to our efficient food distribution network.

Qualifications

• Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• Required Experience: 6 - 12 Months Logistics / transportation administrative support experience in related area.
• Preferred Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• Preferred Experience: 1 - 2 Years Logistics / transportation administrative support in related area within foodservice industry.

Responsibilities

• Work with Logistics Manager to negotiate lowest freight costs without reducing service level.
• Generate period-end revenue report.
• Identify backhaul pickups that do not meet the minimum requirement for revenue.
• Identify loads to be moved by contract carriage and schedule such move.
• Monitor accepted loads and verify that the loads were delivered on time.
• Audit carriers' freight bills to insure they agree with carriers' confirmations.
• Coordinate with Accounting to file vendor charge-backs to orders with volumes that have been confirmed but not shipped by managed vendor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
