Job description


The Edw. C. Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for our Mill Materials Management location in Calvert City, KY. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for daily support functions essential to managing rail, trucking and or barge.



Pay: $25.00+ based on experience


Shift/Schedule: Days, Monday-Friday (some evening and weekends)

Responsibilities


The Logistics Coordinator will:



  • Create accurate bill of lading and release EDI instructions for rail shipments

  • Trace and track shipments from origin to destination daily

  • Track cars that are bad ordered/lost with railroad or plant

  • Maintain records and generate reports for leadership

  • Assist in responding to any accidents, spills, or maintenance issues following company policies

  • Provide daily trace reports of all rail movements to leadership

  • Provide inbound rail car reports to each location weekly

  • Ticket material shipments from third party sites

  • Notice all shipments in customer system

  • Maintain records of rail car shipments and ticketing

  • Assist sites with rail car needs and ordering

  • Provide bill of ladings to customers

  • Track load frequency of private cars

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager




Skills


The ideal candidate will have:



  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver's license

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

  • Knowledge of Asset Management System

  • May be required to work evenings and weekends depending on business needs

  • May be required to travel for training opportunities or support business needs
