Job description

IndependenceRealtyTrust is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator for its design team in Louisville, KY. The Logistics Coordinator will manage projects from order creation to project completion and will be the point of contact for all orders, from placement to installation and project closeout. The interior design team is fast-paced and requires excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills. You will be responsible for managing all logistical operations while maintaining project timelines.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage purchasing operations related to design material orders from project handoff, from the design team.
  2. Oversee logistics operations related to design material deliverables.
  3. Ensure accuracy of vendor acknowledgements.
  4. Track product lead times, shipping, delivery, receiving, and damage claims.
  5. Manage logistics companies for delivery and setup of design installations.
  6. Coordinate communication between the design department and communities regarding orders, receipt of products, installation, and project closeouts.
  7. Manage project lead times and schedules to ensure timely delivery of items.
  8. Review Statements of Work (SOW) between IRT and logistics companies for bidding and execution of goods/services delivery and contracts.
  9. Create and update databases of costs, schedules, and delivery within our ERP system.
  10. Perform analytics and cost analysis upon project closeout.
  11. Track all invoices related to projects.
  12. Complete month-end accounting for design-specific projects.
  13. Monitor vendor spending and negotiate pricing realignment throughout the year.
  14. Manage design furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) inventory at each logistics partnership.
  15. Travel and oversee logistics partners during renovation project installs to ensure proper delivery and installation per IRT specifications.
Requirements
  1. 1-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a relevant field.
  3. Ability to manage procurement processes using best practices.
  4. High attention to detail.
  5. Experience with ERP systems and/or MRP software.
  6. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  9. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and SmartSheets.
  10. Willingness to travel up to 25%.
