Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Logistics Administrator to support daily supply chain operations at the GDR Finished Goods Yard in a fast-paced environment. You will plan outbound shipments, process documentation, and track orders while coordinating with yard, shipping, and inventory teams.

The role requires strong administrative, communication, and organizational skills, with 1–3 years in logistics. The position is on-site, with overtime flexibility and a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years experience in logistics, warehouse administration, shipping/receiving, or office support in a distribution, warehouse, or shipping environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with document management, database, or reporting tools preferred.
• Familiarity with logistics software, transportation management systems (TMS), or yard management systems preferred.
• Ability to follow standard work, procedures, and compliance protocols.
• Proven ability to track shipments and maintain accurate records; work well with inventory management.
• Effective team player with clear communication with operations, yard, and shipping teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate outbound shipments and transport schedules.
• Prepare and maintain shipment documentation, bills of lading, estimated ship dates, PODs, and records.
• Track orders and shipments in yard and logistics systems; update for accuracy.
• Coordinate with yard, shipping, and logistics personnel on status and inventory locations.
• Manage and audit shipping records; ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels; participate in counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Serve as liaison for customer communication on shipment status and POD requests.
• Support timely order tracking and updates for finished goods flow.
• Collaborate to maintain a safe, organized yard and meet SOPs.
• Participate in meetings and process improvements for peak periods.
• Demonstrate reliability with overtime/weekend work as needed.
