Job summary

Seegrid is hiring for a Truck Driver and Material Handler to join the Warehousing and Logistics team in the United States. The role mixes driving responsibilities with material handling across multiple facilities and inbound/outbound shipping duties.

Primary duties focus on safely operating a 26,000 GVW box truck and related equipment, while also handling shipping, receiving, inventory control, and ERP-based record-keeping. A valid PA license and DOT medical card are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required with 3+ years operating a 26,000 GVW box truck.
  • Valid PA driver license and DOT medical card required.
  • Experience in warehousing or logistics in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Mature, safety-conscious multitasker with documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Google Office Suites.
  • Experience using MRP systems such as Epicor; Concur is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate all company vehicles and equipment.
  • Load, unload, and secure materials for transport.
  • Maintain driving and delivery logs; comply with DOT regulations.
  • Support warehousing, inventory control, and receiving functions.
  • Coordinate with facilities and maintenance operations as needed.
  • Inspect vehicles and perform basic preventive maintenance.

About The Role

We currently have an opening for a Truck Driver and Material Handler to join our team. The Truck Driver/Material Handler is a member of the Warehousing and Logistics team, reporting to the Warehouse Manager. The primary responsibility of this position is as a truck driver, and the secondary responsibility is as a Material Handler. The individual plays a key role in transporting materials, Seegrid owned equipment, and finished goods, throughout our 5 facilities as well as to/from Seegrid suppliers and customers.

As a Material Handler the individual is responsible for shipping finished goods, assisting with warehousing/inventory control functions and the receiving of incoming materials and equipment.

Responsibilities Include:
Primary Responsibilities, Truck Driver
  • Safely operate all company vehicles
  • Operate vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) less than 26,000 lbs.
  • Operate company material handling equipment (pallet jacks, electric walkie stackers, counterbalance forklift, scissor lifts, etc.)
  • Operate Seegrid AMR products
  • Obey all applicable traffic laws. Comply with ICC and DOT regulations
  • Ensure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breaking and damage
  • Safely & efficiently handle the loading and unloading of materials
  • Care for company vehicles
    • Perform inspections prior to and following each trip
    • Perform minor preventive maintenance of each company vehicle
    • Schedule annual inspections of company vehicles
    • Perform DOT administrative duties
  • Adhere to company rules & regulations
  • Track and report working hours, maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
  • Make safety a priority at all times
  • Support facilities and maintenance operations as needed
Secondary Responsibilities, Material Handler

Shipping:

  • Prepare, complete, and ensure accuracy of orders for delivery according to schedule, including loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, shipping
  • Load common carrier, LTL, and FTL trucks for shipment
  • Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates. Make carrier arrangements when necessary
  • Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipment. Input all shipment information into the ERP computer system

Warehouse:

  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness/organization of the warehouse facility
  • Ensure proper transaction execution for all inventory movements
  • Maintain accuracy in inventory, perform cycle counts, and assist in reconciliation to achieve inventory accuracy goals
  • Pull, kit, and issue production/service orders and deliver to the appropriate assembly area

Receiving:

  • Unload materials from trucks and containers
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items/goods, record shortages, and correspond with Purchasing to rectify damages and shortages
  • Process incoming deliveries and ensure the quality and quantity is correct including packing slip, purchase order and/or invoice
  • Receive material through ERP system and maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock
  • Route items to the warehouse or various internal departments and Kanban areas for manufacturing projects

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED and 3+ years operating a 26,000 GVW box truck
  • Valid PA drivers license and DOT medical card
  • Subject to Background, drug and MVR check
  • Experience in warehousing or logistics in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using MRP systems, Epicor and Concur experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Office Suites
  • Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer focus
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Must be a highly responsible individual who can work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift 50 Lbs
