Job summary

Keel in Ladson, SC seeks a detail-oriented Materials Processor to support material flow across production and shipping. You will maintain records, track status, and coordinate deliveries to minimize downtime.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in manufacturing/logistics, basic math skills, and familiarity with ERP systems. This role requires the ability to handle multiple tasks in a structured environment and occasional plant-wide travel.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
• ERP exposure preferred.
• Basic problem-solving and math skills.
• Willingness to learn 5S, inventory standards, and measurement tools.
• Basic understanding of metric and imperial measurements.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a structured environment.

Responsibilities

• Supports the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between departments according to production and shipping schedules.
• Maintains accurate records and assists in minimizing downtime by ensuring timely material movement.
• Reviews production schedules and works with department supervisors to identify basic material requirements.
• Assists with tracking overdue materials and updating material status.
• Supports the requisition of materials and helps coordinate delivery dates.
• Verifies material conformance to specifications under guidance.
• Assists with kitting materials for production needs.
• Computes simple material requirements using established tools and instructions.
• Maintains manual or computerized records for material inventory and in‑process reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements

• Occasional travel between plants as needed.

Physical Requirements

• May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
• May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
