Join DOF as our Logistics Coordinator
The Logistics Coordinator oversees complex logistics operations supporting subsea oil and gas projects, including offshore mobilizations, equipment movements, international shipments, and compliance with industry‑specific regulatory requirements. This role ensures that critical subsea assets, tooling, and materials are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule to support project execution in offshore and onshore environments.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in energy‑sector logistics, strong vendor and vessel coordination skills, and the ability to manage high‑stake timelines where delays directly impact operational readiness.
Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end logistics planning for subsea projects, including mobilization and demobilization of vessels, ROV systems, tooling spreads, and specialized subsea equipment.
- Coordinate international and domestic shipments, ensuring compliance with ITAR, EAR, DOT, IMDG, IATA, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Manage freight forwarding partners, customs brokers, and third‑party logistics providers to ensure timely and cost‑effective transport.
- Oversee inventory accuracy for subsea assets, spares, and consumables; maintain visibility of equipment location and readiness status.
- Develop logistics plans, load‑out schedules, and documentation packages for offshore campaigns.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineering, HSE, and offshore operations to align logistics activities with project milestones.
- Monitor vessel schedules, port availability, and weather impacts; adjust logistics plans proactively to mitigate operational risk.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and hazardous materials declarations.
- Support procurement with vendor coordination, expediting, and delivery tracking for long‑lead subsea components.
- Identify process improvements to reduce cost, increase efficiency, and strengthen supply chain resilience.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during mobilizations, ensuring all equipment is staged, inspected, and delivered to quayside according to project requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5–8+ years of logistics experience in subsea, offshore oil & gas, marine operations, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of offshore mobilization processes, port operations, and vessel logistics.
- Proven experience managing international shipments, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency with logistics and asset‑tracking systems; WASP experience is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical equipment lists, engineering drawings, and mobilization plans.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced environments with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Willingness to support occasional after‑hours or weekend work during mobilizations.
Location
This role supports both office in Houston, TX and some field activity support, including time spent at ports, warehouses, and quayside during mobilizations. Occasional travel to offshore bases, fabrication yards, or vendor facilities may be required.
