Job summary

Powerus is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage domestic and international shipments, freight management, and supplier operations across our platform. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, finance, procurement, and external logistics partners to ensure compliant, timely, and cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a rapidly growing defense-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of logistics, supply chain, procurement or operations experience.
  • Experience coordinating domestic and international freight.
  • Knowledge of parcel carriers, LTL, FTL and international freight forwarding.
  • Familiarity with customs documentation and import/export processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments across multiple business units.
  • Manage relationships with parcel carriers, freight providers, customs brokers and freight forwarders.
  • Monitor shipment status, proactively resolve delays and communicate updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Support import and export activities while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments for manufacturing, engineering and customer deliveries.
  • Manage day to day relationships with domestic and international 3PL providers.
  • Monitor service levels, inventory accuracy and fulfilment performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, lead times and customer experience.
  • Support future warehouse and fulfilment initiatives as the company scales.
  • Support sourcing initiatives for operational and manufacturing requirements.
  • Coordinate vendor purchases and purchase orders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers across multiple categories.
  • Assist with supplier onboarding and vendor performance tracking.
  • Help diversify the supplier base to improve resilience and reduce supply chain risk.
  • Maintain accurate logistics, inventory and shipment records.
  • Support production planning by ensuring materials arrive on schedule.
  • Coordinate packaging requirements with manufacturing and engineering teams.
  • Assist with inventory transfers between facilities and external partners.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Obtain and evaluate freight quotations.
  • Negotiate shipping and logistics rates where appropriate.
  • Monitor transportation costs and identify savings opportunities.

As we continue to scale manufacturing and international operations, we are seeking a highly organized Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of materials, products and equipment across our business while ensuring efficiency, compliance and exceptional service.

Position Overview

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the day to day execution of domestic and international logistics, freight management, purchasing coordination and supplier operations across the Powerus platform.

This role will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, finance, procurement, commercial teams and external logistics partners to ensure materials and finished goods move efficiently through our supply chain while maintaining compliance with customs, import/export regulations and customer delivery requirements.

The successful candidate will be proactive, detail oriented and comfortable working across multiple priorities in a rapidly growing business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments across multiple business units.
  • Manage relationships with parcel carriers, freight providers, customs brokers and freight forwarders.
