Qualifications

Role Objective

Provide higher-level support and collaboration for the Logistics Management team.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Customer Solutions to align customer compliance requirements related to shipping.

  • Assist Warehouse Management with updating and executing customer label requirements.

  • Coordinate with Customer Service to ensure customer notes are up to date for identification of routing and billing issues.

  • Communicate with peers and upper management regarding data quality and status of issues, including applicable corrective action.

  • Understand warehouse functions, processes, and systems.

  • Oversee and lead small to medium projects to ensure completion according to timeline.

  • Represent and participate on cross-functional project teams requiring Logistics Systems and Compliance expertise and input.

  • Provide functional business support for identified Logistics user groups, including diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of system or process issues.

  • Identify, lead development, and implement continuous business process improvement opportunities related to applicable business systems and processes.

  • Provide regulatory support and guidance (NAFTA, Hazmat, IATA, NMFC, HTS, IMDG).

  • Support EDI recertification and new customer onboarding by completing SAP label setup and transactions.

  • Perform QAS testing transactions to support SAP and/or TMS issues, resolution, and enhancements.

  • Monitor daily shipment volume processes between TMS and SAP systems.

  • Run reports and transactions to support past dues, hot processes, and shipment cost ratings, as per the Systems and Compliance team schedule.

  • Review, troubleshoot, and resolve invoice creation errors.

  • Add freight rates to daily LTL volume for Canada carriers, other than Speedy pool process.

  • Review daily shipment schedule for missing material master data conversions affecting case and pallet quantities.

  • Attend required training and certifications for regulatory compliance.

  • Backup other Logistics functions as needed.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in transportation and shipping of domestic and global transactions, or

  • Associate degree in Business, Transportation, or Logistics with 2-5 years' experience in Transportation.

  • DOT, IATA, ICAO, and IMO/IMDG certifications preferred.

  • Experience with WMS, TMS, SAP preferred.


Supervision/Coordination

Minimal supervision required. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. Possible direct reports.


Travel Requirements
Travel between Northeast Ohio campus locations as needed.
