Job description

A Logistics Clerk will report to the Logistics Supervisor to complete all tasks assigned related to logistics. The tasks will be related to supporting internal and external customers for the proper inventory, shipping, and receiving of all materials. The person in this position will be accountable for on-time deliveries, internal material requests, and accuracy of kitting efforts.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

1. Warehousing duties that require an understanding of established storage plans, policies, and procedures.
2. Verifying materials against receiving documents and adhering to the appropriate procedures.
3. Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials for shipments for both internal and external customers.
4. Taking inventory of stored materials and examining stored materials.
5. Reporting non-conformance of items.
6. Kitting of customer equipment, verifying accuracy.
7. Preparing labels and crating for all shipments.
8. Ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles.
9. Understanding manifests, bills of lading, etc.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of directly related experience.
• Ability to successfully complete the CGI Background Investigation, including 50 State Criminal, Education, and Employment checks. Additional checks such as Credit and Driving Records may be required.
• Possession of an INTERIM SECRET security clearance is required to begin employment; maintaining a SECRET security clearance is necessary for continued employment. US Citizenship is required.
• Ability to travel up to 25% or less.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid forklift license.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, possibly including weekends if required by the customer.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs independently.

Due to the nature of government contracts, this position requires US Citizenship.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The current estimated range in the U.S. is $60,000 to $__, depending on various factors such as skill set, experience, training, and certifications. Compensation decisions are merit-based and depend on individual circumstances.
