This role is also responsible, as needed, for the pickup and delivery of Cryoport’s temperature-controlled shippers(also known as dewars) between Cryoport’s Logistics Center and clientlocations. **The Logistics Center Technician/Back-up Driver** is also responsible for the reliable transport of items to and from destinations while maintaining all safety standards and good record keeping, ensuring all operational activities are executed accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with specific procedures and processes as defined in Work Instructions.**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (**s*hould include but are not limited to*) **•** Perform the receipt and testing of all incoming Cryoporttemperature controlled shippers. **•** Perform all shipment processing in Cryoportal 2.0 in accordance withWork Instruction and SOP **•**Perform shipper cleaning process to ensure shippers maintainpharmaceutical elegance. **•** Responsible for inventory cycle counts for fixed assets and consumablegoods. **•**Ensures all job-related paperwork is correct, error-free, and completed inreal-time as per SOPs. **•** Effectively communicate and correspond with other business units, clients,drivers, etc. **•**Regularly check SOP's and work instructions for assignedLogistics Center activities. • Practice safely operating mechanical equipment, including a forklift,pallet jack, and handcarts. • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with health, safety, andenvironmental statutory, regulatory, and company regulations. • Works around hazardous substances and follows all safety guidelines tominimize exposure. • Available for infrequent overtime work as necessary and to be willing toattend site, out of hours in the case of emergency or extraordinarywork requirement. • Assist in the supervision of temporary contract staff as required. • To participate in client audits and facility presentations as needed. • Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and throughdifferent routes. • Follow routes and time schedule. • Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle. • Ask for feedback on the services provided and address clients’ complaints. • Use Samsara Software or equivalent to complete logs and reports required bySOPs. • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards. • Ensure all traffic laws are observed. • Create a team environment and culture. • Ensure safety precautions are implemented and maintained during transitand while in the warehouse. • Perform other logistic center duties as assigned when necessary.**COMPETENCIES & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES** • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Team Player who is involved in team functions and meetings as assigned. • Have strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently. • Organization and prioritization skills with excellent attention to detail. • Able to understand and comply with established company policies andprocedures. • Ability to perform highly in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment. • Ability to operate personal computers. • Ability to read supply requisitions and perform basic arithmetic. • Willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development. • Passion for, and alignment with Cryoport’s mission. • A change agent and strong collaborator who is not afraid of challengingstatus quo. • An individual who brings strong core values, quality, ethics, and integrity. • A collaborative team player who embraces and champions the culture. • Strong work ethic and ability to deliver results and meet commitments in adynamic environment. • Exceptional and dynamic communications skills with the ability to inspireand influence people at all levels, build consensus and commitment,and effectively drive change throughout the organization at a rate that fits the corporate culture. • Exceptional organizational and planning skills, strong analytical abilities,and process orientation. • Demonstrates a business process orientation to developing solutions.**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS** • High School Diploma or GED • Valid Driver’s license while operating company Vehicles • Good driving record with no more than 2 traffic violations in the most recent3-year period • Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver • Must be able to lift/carry up to 20-80 lbs. • Frequent physical activities, walking, lifting, standing, cleaning, counting, etc. • Must be able to effectively communicate in English. • Proficient computer skills, specifically with Chrome/Edgeand Microsoft Office Suite. • Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment. • Prior experience with pick/pack, ship, receive deliveries and inventory controlprocedure, preferred.**DRUG TEST** This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing in accordance with our commitment to maintaining a safe, and drug-free workplace.**COMPENSATION**$22-$24.50/hr depending on experience
