Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma/GED required and 2+ years medical supply management or warehouse experience.
  • 1+ years experience with inventory management software, equipment tracking, and bar code systems.
  • In good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs; not excluded from participation.
  • Associate of Arts or Science preferred. Education specialization: Business or related supply chain field.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory control via cycle counts, par level reviews, par optimization, inventory classifications, and review of stock locations.
  • Analyze inventory utilization patterns across nursing units and clinical departments.
  • Provide data to Materials Management on inventory control, accuracy, and movement to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor storerooms and projects related to storage needs and supply chain management.
  • Adjust supply par levels based on historical usage, patient census, and operational needs.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce inventory carrying costs while maintaining service levels.
  • Report discrepancies to management using the chain of command.
  • Support product evaluations, conversions, and standardization efforts.

Summary
  • The Logistics Associate is responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and maintaining inventory levels across nursing units to ensure the efficient use of supplies while supporting high-quality patient care. This position partners closely with nursing leadership, clinical staff, materials management, and finance to evaluate inventory utilization, reduce excess stock, establish appropriate par levels, and identify cost-saving opportunities. The Logistics Associate uses data-driven decision-making to improve inventory performance, reduce waste, and achieve organizational savings goals.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain inventory control for supplies and equipment through cycle counting, par level reviews, par optimization, inventory classifications, and review of inventory and supply issues for the storerooms, par areas, and all other designated inventory locations.
  • Analyze inventory utilization patterns across nursing units and clinical departments.
  • Provide data to Materials Management on inventory control, inventory accuracy, and supply and equipment movement to establish more efficient operations.
  • Monitors the Storerooms and numerous projects associated with short and long term storage needs and supply chain management.
  • Evaluate and adjust supply par levels based on historical usage, patient census, and operational needs.
  • Responsible for analyzing productivity and standards for process and workflow improvements.
  • Conduct regular reviews of stock levels to identify overstocked, underutilized, and obsolete inventory
  • Reports discrepancies, problems and concerns to management using proper chain of command.
  • Demonstrates all computer applications accurately
  • consistently follows tracking system procedures for supply and equipment tracking.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce inventory carrying costs while maintaining service levels.
  • Monitor inventory turnover rates and recommend strategies to improve efficiency.
  • Analyze product utilization trends and recommend alternatives that improve value without compromising patient care.
  • Support new product evaluations, conversions, and standardization efforts
Education or Equivalent Experience
  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
  • And 2+ years Medical supply management or warehouse environment.
  • 1+ years Experience with software applications such as inventory management, equipment tracking and bar code systems.
  • And In good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs, i.3. not excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid or other federal or state health insurance programs.
  • Associate of Arts or Science (Preferred)
  • Education Specialization:Business or related medical or supply chain field.
