Job summary

The Clorox Company in Atlanta is seeking a Logistics Associate to support manufacturing and distribution by operating forklifts, managing packaging materials, and ensuring safe, efficient loading processes. You will perform daily forklift inspections, handle stage-to-stock movements, and maintain accurate documentation.

The role requires strict adherence to OSHA and DOT standards, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work a 12-hour shift in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in a manufacturing/distribution environment preferred.
• Demonstrate high level forklift operator capabilities.
• Detail-oriented, willing to learn, with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily inspections of electric powered forklifts using proper documentation and is proficient with attachments (slip-sheet, double-forks, clamp truck).
• Support production with stage to stock and stock to stage for packaging materials (caps, triggers, preforms, neck hangers, etc.).
• Ensure unsafe conditions are reported and corrected through Hazardous Notification and BBS processes; write work orders for repair.
• Perform safety checks related to trailer loading and dock locking systems.
• Maintain procedural compliance of forklift security and departmental tools.
• Plan and prioritize work assignments with minimal supervision.
• Complete unloading/loading documentation with minimal supervision.
• Support Changeover, Startup/Shutdown processes to standards.
• Adhere to OSHA & DOT standards and maintain good housekeeping.
• Understand SDS procedures for raw materials and weight distribution for carrier equipment.
• Understand warehouse layout and capacity constraints.
