Anduril Industries in Rhode Island is seeking an Operations and Logistics Associate to join our Maritime team in Quonset. You will help ensure hardware deliveries to customers, coordinate shipping, and support deployments of our autonomous systems.

The role requires 3–5 years in global logistics, familiarity with ITAR/EAR, and experience handling ocean and air freight. You will develop playbooks, manage vendors, and track KPIs to improve on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in global logistics or supply chain management, defense exposure preferred.
  • Experience handling sensitive/oversized shipments via ocean and air freight.
  • Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, DFARS and U.S. export/import controls.
  • Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute logistics for all shipping to and from URS locations.
  • Generate commercial invoices and packing lists for export.
  • Oversee export/import documentation, customs declarations, and temporary imports.
  • Manage freight forwarders, customs brokers and logistics partners.
  • Develop logistics playbooks and contingency strategies for mission timelines.
  • Establish KPIs for on-time delivery, compliance, and cost performance.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril is fielding the next generation of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) to tackle the extremely challenging industry demands of seabed exploration. Anduril has brought to the market a unique, ultra-long-range, full-ocean-depth platform, and a completely refreshed maritime vehicle and flexible manufacturing architecture that scales from "large" to "extra-large" vehicle sizes. Today, Anduril is executing on multi-million-dollar contracts while simultaneously performing Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) AUV operations.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for an Operations and Logistics Associate to join our rapidly growing team in Quonset, RI. The role of the Logistics Associate is a critical part of ensuring our hardware gets into our customer's hands and we can successfully deploy our team to support our customer's missions.

The Logistics team has built a white glove service that is responsible for developing and executing Anduril's strategy to deliver hardware and software to our customers where it is both mission critical and logistically challenging. This will require a breadth of understanding logistics, the ability to work across teams seamlessly, a deep appreciation for details, and the ability to learn new subject matters quickly. As you execute on service delivery for our customers and team members, you have the unique opportunity to improve and grow our logistics capabilities and sustainment efforts. You will be charged with helping Anduril teams solve exceptional challenges, unblocking issues, and establishing procedures, all with the intention of making sure our customers missions are being met.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Logistics Execution
  • Plan, manage, and execute logistics for all shipping to and from URS locations.
  • Generate commercial invoices and packing lists for the export of items internationally.
  • Work with international trade compliance to ensure proper jurisdiction classification on exports
  • Oversee the secure transport and storage of sensitive equipment, prototypes, and display assets, ensuring compliance with defense sector requirements.
  • Develop logistics playbooks and contingency strategies for mission-critical event timelines.
  • Manage export/import documentation, ATA Carnets, customs declarations, and temporary imports.
Transportation & Vendor Management
  • Manage freight forwarders, customs brokers and specialized logistics service providers.
  • Select and oversee logistics service partners with proven defense industry and government clearance capabilities.
  • Act as the primary logistics liaison with event organizers, internal stakeholder and external parties.
Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Track and analyze costs related to freight, warehousing, customs duties, and special handling.
  • Drive cost optimization while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
Risk Management & Process Improvement
  • Anticipate and resolve potential delays due to customs, security, or geopolitical risks.
  • Standardize logistics processesfor repeatable success across shipments.
  • Develop and implement KPIs for on‑time delivery, compliance accuracy, and cost performance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in global logistics or supply chain management, with defense sector exposure strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing sensitive and oversized shipments via ocean and air freight.
  • Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, DFARS, U.S. export/import controls and import/exports controls of various global markets.
  • Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite), and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication, vendor negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing supply chains is a plus
