Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Logistics Associate in Bedford, IN to support the CAC2S program. This role provides administrative, logistics, and data-entry support to NWSC, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fully on-site environment.

The ideal candidate will have DoD logistics experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while coordinating shipments and inventory in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 0 years of experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD or an Associate’s Degree with at least 2 years of experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD or equivalent military experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD in lieu of a degree.
• No clearance required to start however must be able to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Proficient with computers and experience in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and be detail oriented, multi-task supporting multiple customers both internal and external.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work for prolonged periods both working on his/her feet or at a desk.
• Coordinate order tracking of procurements, hardware, machine shop, and cable equipment shipments.
• Support receiving or similar assets, scheduling required maintenance, monitoring the main.

• Develops raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules and deadlines.
• Perform kitting of material for production.

• Keep excel sheets tracking information up to date daily for an accurate inventory.
• Attend weekly meetings with team and customers while able to provide accurate inventory answers.

Job Description

This position will provide administrative, logistics, and data entry support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NWSC). The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, proficiency with inventory management. The ability to maintain multiple tasks simultaneously, knowledge of supply chain processes, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to take direction from seasoned team members.

Note This role will be fully onsite in Bedford, IN. No Remote
