Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Logistics Operations Support Technician for the UMSS effort. This role provides logistics support to track, manage, and maintain inventories of developmental, prototype, Fleet, and test and evaluation equipment and spare parts used in research, development, integration, and testing at NIWC Pacific.

The position is on site at the Bayside facility in San Diego, CA, with occasional travel (10%). A High School Diploma is required and an active Secret clearance on day one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Active Secret clearance on first day of employment is required.
• Experience coordinating material shipments.
• Experience maintaining spare parts inventories.
• Experience with inventory/parts management software systems.
• Eligible for forklift certification per OSHA 29 CFR Subpart N 1910.178.

Responsibilities

• Provide logistics support to track, manage, and maintain inventories of developmental, prototype, Fleet, and test & evaluation equipment and spare parts used in R&D and testing activities at NIWC Pacific.
• Coordinate material shipments and support logistics for research, development, integration, and testing efforts.
• Maintain accurate inventories and support ongoing material management.

Description

SAIC is seeking a Logistics Operations Support Technician for the Unmanned Maritime Systems Support (UMSS) effort. This program will entail support of the Expeditionary Unmanned Systems (ExUS) project, unmanned equipment development and testing and logistics support for the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC).

This position is contingent upon award news, expected September 2026. This position is on site at the NIWC Pacific Bayside facility in San Diego, CA.

The Logistics Operations Support Technician will provide logistics support to track, manage, and maintain inventories of developmental, prototype, Fleet, and test and evaluation (T&E) support equipment and spare parts used in research, development, integration, and testing activities at NIWC Pacific.

Target salary range $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
